Although new to the school store, many of us already knew Ms. Joffrion. For the past three years, she worked in the Health Center as a driver and assistant to the nurses. At one time she was also a kindergarten teacher. So, her career choices have always centered around schools.
“My favorite part of the job is interacting with the students,” she said. “I’d never been to Canterbury before three years ago, but I really enjoy the students and the faculty.”
But the school store is not without its challenges. Its inventory includes clothes, school supplies, snack food, a snack bar, gifts, toiletries and other items – all in a pretty compact space. She has help staffing the store with students from New Milford High school.
Mondays through Fridays the school store and snack bar are open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The school store is closed during breaks.
Students can get all kinds of things at the store, so if you find you suddenly need something, you may be able to find it there. Canterbury logo t-shirts, sweats, cups, totes, school supplies and snacks are all available. You can also shop online at the school store website. https://shop.cbury.org/
