On April 22, Mrs. Roffe’s Marine Science class headed down to Norwalk, CT to learn more about the marine life in Long Island Sound. The day started by a visit to the aquarium, where sea turtles, lobsters, jellyfish, sharks and other various types of sea life could be seen.
Later on, the classes headed out on a science exploration boat to evaluate soil samples taken from the bottom of the sound and to collect samples of marine life such as plankton, crabs, mollusks and jellyfish, all of which were examined under a microscope.
