Why did you choose to come to the U.S?
Because my sister studied in the U.S. and now she is actually working here. So she motivated me to come.
What do you like least/most about the U.S?
I like the way the teachers teach and the grading system here.
What do you miss the most about your home country?
Food, friends, family.
Why did you choose Canterbury?
A friend graduated from here, and recommended it.

K-pop!!!!
What are the biggest differences you see between the school experience here and the school experience in Korea?
In my home country, grades are the most important thing, and it’s very competitive in a negative way. And here, there are more opportunities to do what you want.
Are there any erroneous stereotypes or assumptions about your home culture you need to clarify?
We don’t only eat Kimchi and we are not always serious about all things.
What is the general perception of the U.S in your home country?
That it’s a well developed nation, and that Americans are passionate and athletic.
